Standard delivery takes 3–5 business days depending on location. We provide reliable island-wide shipping, with same-day delivery available in select Colombo areas depending on stock availability.

Do you provide order tracking?

Yes, absolutely! Once your order ships, we'll send you the courier service name along with your tracking (or waybill) number via WhatsApp or email. You can then check the progress of your delivery directly with the courier and follow your parcel every step of the way.

How can I maximize my fragrance's longevity?

Based on our expertise with Sri Lanka's climate, we recommend:

  • Applying fragrance to clothing: Fabrics retain scents better than skin in humid conditions, projecting a 2–3 foot scent aura.
  • Layering technique: Consider complementary scents for enhanced complexity.
  • Moisturize before application: Lightly moisturized skin holds fragrance longer.
  • Hair misting: Lightly spritz on hair or a hairbrush for subtle, lasting scent.
  • Avoid rubbing: Let fragrance settle naturally to preserve its structure.
Why does my perfume smell different from the tester I tried or the original scent?

Don’t worry! The fragrance you received is completely normal. Our tester bottles have already gone through full maceration, while your fresh bottle is still in its early stage.

Like all fine perfumes, the scent continues to mature naturally inside the bottle. As it rests, the fragrance becomes smoother, richer, and gradually settles, reducing any initial harsh notes or alcohol scent, performing closer to what you experienced from the tester.

You may start using the perfume immediately, but for the best longevity and projection, we recommend allowing around 2 weeks for full maceration. Please keep the bottle inside its box and store it in a cool, dry place away from heat and sunlight.

Your fragrance will settle beautifully — and match the tester — as it matures.

Why does the same perfume smell different on different people?

Individual skin chemistry—including pH levels, body temperature, and natural oils—interacts uniquely with fragrances, creating a personalized scent signature for each wearer.

How does weather affect fragrance performance?

Temperature significantly impacts scent projection. Heat amplifies fragrance intensity while cold weather creates subtler projection. Our climate-optimized formulations are specifically designed to maintain consistent performance in Sri Lanka's tropical conditions.

Why do you recommend applying perfumes on clothes?

Traditionally, perfumes are applied on pulse points (wrists, neck, behind ears) because these areas have blood vessels close to the skin. The natural warmth from these points helps the fragrance evaporate slowly and project beautifully.

However, tropical climates like Sri Lanka are much hotter and more humid. In these conditions, the skin becomes overly warm and sweaty, causing fragrances to break down faster, lose their true scent profile, and evaporate too quickly, reducing their overall performance.

Through our extensive real-world testing at Perfumify, we have consistently found that the best longevity and projection comes from applying perfume on clothing rather than skin in hot climates.

For best results, we recommend applying 4 or more sprays on clothing. You may also re-spray after 5–6 hours to refresh the scent, similar to refreshing your face with a wet tissue during the day.

Correct spraying distance: Always hold the bottle 6–8 inches away from the fabric to allow a clean, even mist. Our fragrances are highly concentrated and climate-optimized, so spraying too close may leave light scent marks.

Will your perfumes stain clothing?

Applying your perfume from the recommended distance ensures it stays on your clothes without leaving any visible marks.

It is natural for some perfumes, including those from top international brands, to leave light marks if sprayed too closely onto white or light-colored fabrics. This is a normal behavior of perfume ingredients and not a defect.

This is why best practices exist in perfumery and maintaining a proper spray distance ensures a clean, even spread of the perfume mist avoiding any visible marks.

As explained in the previous FAQ, fabrics often help perfumes perform better in warm climates like Sri Lanka's than direct application on skin. Hence we recommend making the most of this advantage by following proper industry-standard spraying techniques.
